EDU-200J, Educational Kit

Colter Products have packaged their popular FMT-200J programmable controller (PLC) in an educational kit for use in both course and project work, making industry standard equipment available to Universities and colleges on a monthly rental scheme of £65/month with a £100 deposit repayable on safe return.

Colter Products is a British company designing and manufacturing programmable controllers in the UK. FMT-200J controllers are used in a wide variety of industries including automotive, chemical, pharmaceutical, food, beverage and utilities.

The kit consists of an FMT-200J programmable controller fitted into a rugged lockable flight case which can be safely stored when not in use. An IEC inlet plug on the side is used to provide mains power to an inbuilt power supply. The operating voltage of the PLC is 24Vdc with a 1A auxiliary supply provided also included is a USB-RS232 programming lead plus a selection of jumper leads.

The FMT-200J kit can either be operated as a stand-alone unit with the inbuilt switches and potentiometers or connected to other equipment via standard 4mm sockets.

• Inbuilt 2 x 16 character text display with 4 function keys
• 4 RS232 and 2 RS485 ports for serial communication
• One FMT-FC256 - 256Kb Flash Memory Card included (for data logging and additional program storage)
